Near Buenos Aires, Entre Ríos is, with no doubt, a destination that joins the beauty of the argentinian coast and the fun of its popular carnivals, that year by year attract people from the country and abroad. Its parades are so successful that they remain the whole summer, after the dates fixed in the calendar.
Choosing the scenary is up to you, due to the diversity of places and activities that Entre Rios offers to every taste. The Gualeguaychú Carnival parties, that since the 70´s have improved in quality, are already considered as the “Carnival of the Country“, organized by the same shows and events managers, following a 40 year tradition of student parades and recently realized in the “Corsódromo“, opened in 1997, that allows a better view of the parades and more confort to the public.
In summer, the most attractive beaches of Entre Rios, Santa Elena, La Paz, Villa Urquiza, Diamante and Victoria get crowded by travelers that choose the argentine coast as an alternative to the hot weather of the capital, Buenos Aires. For those who prefer land and not sand, it´s also possible to enjoy the national parks like the El Palmar and Pre Delta, besides of the rivers and brooks inside the continent.
Colón is another recommendation of the Hostel Colonial: Beautiful landscapes, thermic pools with curative properties to fight the stress and tension of the modern life, great gastronomy and the 12 de Abril St, famous by its local craftsmen. Another options in Colón are the safaris, the sportive fishing and the golf field with a view of the river. To stay, pick one of the farmers that organize walks, horse rides, sportive fishing (that is practiced in the whole Entre Ríos state), and in some cases, hunting legally limited with their guests. Entre Ríos is, definately, one of the most amazing destinations of Argentina, and the Hostel Colonial, that always invites you to travel a little bit of our country, could not leave behind.

In Nuñez, at the north of the capital, you can see the Monumental Stadium of River Plate soccer team and the University campus and enjoy great parks where the people go jogging and practisising some sport.
The laberinths of the General Paz Avenue, the species of trees at the Libertador Avenue and the famous Saavedra bridge are some actrattives of Nuñez.
Everything is near to the river and the Cabildo Avenue, that concentrates most of the best stores of Buenos Aires. It´s by Belgrano side, that counts with a Chinatown and the Larreta Museum, that has one of the biggest andalusian gardens of the country, besides of markets and beautiful churches.

The Hostel Colonial recommends the new movie that promises to depict the life of one of the most famous warriors of the history, the argentinian Ernesto Guevara, or simply, “Che Guevara“, since the cuban revolution until his death in Bolivia, with 39 years old. “Che” from the director Steven Soderbergh is divided in two parts, “El Argentino” and “Guerrilla” and lasts about 4 hours.
The movie was shot in spanish, in different parts of Spain, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Bolivia. With Benicio del Toro (that had already worked with the director in Traffic) playing Che Guevara brilliantly and another stars like Unax Ugalde (Alatriste), Elvira Mínguez (Tapas, Cobardes) Carlos Bardem and Franka Potente, “Che” is considered the definitive movie about the warrior. It is a awesome production, don´t miss it.
