Hi Mario, Here’s a reminder about my next programme on Phonic FM 6pm UK Time Wed 26 August 2009 through www.phonic.fm (click on ‘listen’) This week will feature the first part of an interview with British Jazz Trombonist, Chris Barber, about the blues and gospel people (Big Bill Broonzy, Muddy Waters, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Sonny and Brownie) he brought to the UK in the 50s and 60s. Another programme of just wall to wall music. music, music. Email me in the studio (studio@phonic.fm) when I am on air for a ’shout out’. Or if you want a request email me before the programme at editor@bluesinthesouth.com. AND… we’ve got the usual stuff, blues old and new, a bit of jazz, some gospel and other good stuff. There’s a Special Feature this week on music from The Wire, the song the Key to the Highway and the Muddy Waters Library of Congress recordings
Be there or be square!
Best wishes
