As a owner, we hope our UV machine printing has a longer service life and want them can help our customer to earn money as more as possible and. In addition to depending on the original quality of the machine, the latter part of maintenance of the printer also has a great relationship. To achieve long-term excellent printing, UV printing maintenance should include the following aspect.

How to Maintain the printer head
1. If often printing, please do a cleaning and make a nuzzle test everyday to make sure the uv printer head is in good condition.
2. If less printing, please do cleaning three times every three days and make a nuzzle test to make sure the uv printer head is in good condition.
3. If not use the machine over 2 weeks, customers should remove the printer head and use the cleaning liquid to clean the print head and pack the printer head well. And stock it in the dark environment.
4. If the nozzle test is bad, please check the trouble shooting in the user manual, or contact local agent for help.

2. UV flatbed printer ink road maintenance
During long periods of use, UV ink will slowly precipitate a variety of impurities in the ink tube. Usually, it is suggested to replace a set of new ink tube every six months or so.

3. Guide rail maintenance
It is recommended to wipe the lead rail with a lubricant oil every two months to achieve lubrication and maintenance. For one thing, it can reduce running noise. For another, it can reduce the wear and tear caused by friction.

4. Grating ruler maintenance
It requires the technician to use a non-woven dipped in a little alcohol to slowly wipe the surface of the grating ruler, so as to remove the dust and other particles. (Recommended once a month)

5. UV printing platform and surface cleaning
In daily use, regularly remove the the residual ink on the platform and the dust on the printer body with alcohol and non-woven cloth.

6. The surrounding environment cleaning
If there is two much dust in the air floating in the substrate surface, it will directly affect the printing effect, and there may be impurity dots or pattern off or fade. Therefore, daily cleaning and ventilation is particularly important.

If there is a “Apex” brand on your UV printer, as long as you do good job in routine maintenance work, it is okay to keep high-quality printing and prolong service time.

How to choose a right ink for your inkjet printer

Hello my friend, I think you must know that there are three kinds of ink ( dye ink, pigment ink and sublimation ink ) on the market, but you may don’t know how to choose them. In order to answer this question, you must know what it is and why use it. Here I would like to introduce them to you, then you will know the answer.

DYE ink is a molecular-level fully dissolved ink, it dissolves in water like sugar does in water completely. It’s also known for easily obtaining saturated, brilliant colors due to its small molecular size, 1.5-4 nanometers (1 nanometer=1/1000 of a micrometer, 1 micrometer=1/1000 of a millimeter).  But the dye will re-dissolve and the ink will flow across the paper if drops of water hit the paper. For normal document printing on inkjet paper, photo paper, pvc card etc, we would recommend dye ink as it is much economic compared to pigment ink.
Usage: can be used on the normal document printing which is not used for a long period of time.
Advantages: will not plug the nozzles, eye-catching colorful printing, low cost.
Disadvantages: easily faded in direct sunlight or water immersion.

Pigment inks use tiny particles of colored material to provide ink color, rather than paper-staining dyes. Pigment inks are comprised of tiny, encapsulated particles that sit on top of the paper, instead of being absorbed into a paper is fibers, which is what happens with dyes. Most pigment ink printers also offer more subtle color shading, since they use up to eight different ink colors. Pigment inks are much more stable than dye-based inks, and can last more than 200 years on some paper types, under ideal (museum-quality lighting and framing) conditions.
Usage: outdoor used document, T-shirt printing on dark based / light based cotton materials with transfer papers.
Advantage: water-proof & UV resistant.
Disadvantage: large particles may cause plug of the nozzles, the color is not so vivid as dye ink, higher cost than dye ink.
Sublimation ink is a dye-based ink which has a very high transfer rate.
It is unique in its ability to convert from a solid to a gas without going through a liquid form (Just like dry ice). The transfer rate on the common color jet paper is 80%, and the transfer rate of the special heat transfer paper is more than 90%.
Usage: used for thermal transfer products, such as polyester cloth and other chemical fiber fabrics.
Advantage: bright color, scratch-resistant, washable, waterproof, fastness.
